I researched the special effects and CGI used in 300. I found out that basically everything in 300 is CGI appart from what happens in front of the camera.

Today i looked at the pre 1900's film history and the Censorship and Classification in Australia. The pre 1900's film history was quite boring, all the significant dates where just advancements in film technology, like inprovements on motion picture cameras. The Censorship and Classification in Australia was interesting how the views have changed on "X" rated movies.

I started my research on film history, i found a great website that shows a timeline of the significant events in film history. I plan on summarizing these detailed points and make a timeline of my own, i'll probly get that finished by next Monday. If i stick to my timeline i should finish this assignment.

Added to timeline. Researched visual affects of The Matrix e.g. how they shot the slo-mo "neo getting shot at" scene, the first idea of how to shoot the scene was to have a camera surround neo and zoom around him at the speed of a bullet, this idea did not work and the camera broke. They later used multiple "still" cameras.

Decided to pick my movies with a constant theme. Ive picked gore movies like Bad Taste and 300. I'm going to research how censorship has changed throughout the decades and how the censorship affects people e.g. maybe take murder by decapitation statistics from before 300 and then see if a higher number of murders by decapitation have occured, something along those lines but not so Passé.

Looked at the marking key and the various marks you get for doing certain things. Some of the marks are stupid e.g. something like 3 points for page numbers.

I made a concept map today on power point, which is like a "family tree" chart that has the questions and sub-questions.I think this concept map is a good way of organising various information, however i cant imagine myself constantly referring to it, so in a sense its not really important.
