2B AIT, Task 2, Journal 2

Today Nathaniel and I had planned to go to the library to download the sporting videos needed on real player. Nathaniel wasn’t at school so I went to the library by myself. The first computer I logged on to didn’t have real player installed so I figured that all the library computers didn’t have real player apart from the couple I used them on before. I logged on the computer and clicked on real player, a prompt came up saying ‘connecting to real player server’, so I was hesitant the program would work. After opening my document with a list of URL’s containing the videos I opened a few videos and clicked on the download video tab. The first three videos I downloaded seemed to be downloading successfully until around the 5th video said ‘unable to download’; I figured it was just that video so I tried some others but now every video I tried to download displayed the same message. I decided to download the other videos at home so I opened My Videos>Real Player downloads and found that all the videos in my library were unrecognizable by windows. I’m unsure why windows can’t recognize the program that created the videos so I have decided to go home and download the videos, convert them and bring them to school on a USB so next lesson Nathaniel and I can edit them. I expect the editing to take at least 5 lessons so the last week Nathaniel and I will be filming. I plan on asking for an extension now because I can’t see Nathaniel and I finishing on time.
