2BAIT, Task 2, Journal 4

Today I finished editing my segment ‘Top Ten Tackles in History’. I looked through my NRL and NRL tackle montage videos to find another 4 great tackles to put in the video. After I found some good tackles I put them in order from best to worst (1-10) and then added some video affects to the timeline. I halved the time of the numbers in front of the tackles for numbers 6-10 because they ran for a couple of seconds too long, but I kept the last five at the same time because it grows anticipation; I also added in the affect ‘fade from black’ to the last 5 videos because it looks more filmic. After I put the clips in order I need to make a title screen ‘Top Ten Tackles in History’ so I opened up word and paint. I wrote up top ten tackles in history in word and set the font to the most historic font I could find and set the size to 100, I print screen the words and copied them into paint, I then spray painted a green/grey/brown tint over the writing so it looks aged. Before I started on the title screen I Googled ‘historic fonts’ to see if I could find a good font generator but to no avail; I found some reasonable fonts but you hade to download them, but they all featured double lines above/below the text so I put that in my title. Nathaniel was away so I’m not sure how far he’s gotten. Tomorrow If Nathaniel is at school we’ll discuss what we both have to finish on the weekend to have all the segments ready by Monday so we can start filming. I think we should be able to film everything in one period if we’re lucky (it’ll take 2 periods at most). Then it’s a matter of uploading the filming and editing it into our project and we’re finished.
